The founder of the factory, Mr. Lanping Cheng, engaged in domestic wire mesh production and trade starting in 1980. In 1993, he founded Dingzhou Five-Star Metal Wire Mesh Manufactory, and its products were exported to European and American markets. In 2001, following China's accession to the WTO, the company obtained the right to conduct self-managed import and export operations for its wire mesh products. In 2004, Five-Star Metals achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification. Hebei Leeter Import and Export Co., Ltd. was established in 2006, and the second-generation founder, Tao Cheng, joined the company in the same year. In 2009, the Hong Kong office of Hebei Leeter Import and Export Co., Ltd. was established to facilitate customer contact and service provision, expanding its product range from wire mesh to steel raw materials, building materials, and plastic products. Dingwei Trading Company was established in 2014 to provide customers with comprehensive services such as logistics and finance.
